EAGLE PLAN

Eagle Plan is a youth development and training program initiated by YouChange Foundation. It aims to discover and support youth leaders who have the lofty ambition, heart and soul to become a social changemaker. The program will support these young leaders to deeply enter the grassroots of rural and impoverished regions to conduct social practices for the duration of one year. This practical experience could stimulate their sense of action and allow them to become more socially responsible, ultimately bringing valuable changes for the community.

At the end of 2016, more than 3,000 applicants from more than 60 international and domestic colleges and universities including: Cambridge University, Hong Kong University, Beijing University, Remin University of China, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University and Tongji University have applied to this program.

From 2011 to 2016, The program cultivated 123 graduates; currently, working in more than 10 different cities and regions around the world. The graduates are working in the following areas: social enterprise startups, social organizations, commercial companies and international organizations; nearly 30% of the graduates are working in 3rd sector and 10% of the graduates have setup their startups.

From 2011 to 2016, the program has established cooperative relationship with more than 40 charitable organizations in rural communities. The Eagle sites have been setup in more than 20 locations spread across more than 10 provinces. The accumulated hours for serving these impoverished regions is more than 120,000 hours. More than 100 projects have been initiated and implemented, involving the field of “rural community livelihood, rural education and the protection of national culture heritage.”

The Eagle Plan has maintained regular interaction with more than 10 colleges and universities along with 50 plus youth organizations. More than 10 onlineand offline recruitment seminars are hosted annually, directly reaching more than 6,000 young people. The WeChat official media channel of Eagle Planwas attracted more than 3,000 devoted fans.
